Fundraising for Dundee Foodbank
1 in 5 people in the UK currently live below the poverty line. That is so hard to comprehend that society is at that point in 2019.
Foodbanks have been an invaluable service to many families unable to make ends meet, and Dundee's foodbank opened in 2012 to provide the local area with such a service. Last year alone they have handed out 8500 three-day emergency food supplies to people in crisis, and they rely on the support from the local community for food donations, volunteering and finances.
We have teamed up with Make That A Take Records in Dundee to produce a t-shirt design to sell, with all profits going to the Dundee Foodbank.
Make-That-A-Take Records is a DIY punk rock record label/collective based on the east coast of Scotland. They put on punk shows and put out records.
Their ethos is fantastic, and is so in line with ours. They aim to contribute positively to their community and believe in the equality of and equity for all humans regardless of gender, race, religion, nationality, class, sexual orientation, status or any other perceived identifier. They already support the Dundee Foodbank, so it was a seamless collaboration!
We will be selling the kids tees for £12 on our website at https://www.dsixxapparel.com/product-page/cowpunk-charity-tee and they will be selling the adult version soon on their website; http://www.makethatatakerecords.com/
